[:en]Bringing back a great gin label to the city that made history with that spirit? Three friends thought about it and believed in it in London: Fairfax, Sam and Jared. 200 years had passed since the closure of the last distillery in the city and many were beginning to miss a product made according to the dictates of a centuries-old tradition, one of those which, especially in England, have an incalculable value. The result of this dream arrived in 2009 with the first Sipsmith Dry Gin label, a spirit made by hand and in small quantities, only by expert distillers and strictly following the traditional recipes and techniques of London gin.
The appointment of the Master Distiller, in addition to immediately bringing the co-founders to an agreement, was a strong signal of the desire to create a product capable of continuing a precious tradition to reach previously unknown peaks of excellence. They chose Jared Brown, universally recognized as one of the leading gin experts in the world, a creative genius who made his first distillation at the age of 10, when he couldn't even drink alcohol, repeatedly freezing the cider using the distillation technique cold.
That was the spark that ignited in him a passion capable of making him, over the years, a drinks historian, author of over 30 books on mixology, cocktails and the history of alcohol. The meeting with the co-founders of Sipsmith Gin gave life to an authentic Gin made according to the original recipes with exclusively artisanal methods.
Today Sipsmith Gin comes in three variations, each of which is unique and precious:
Sipsmith London Dry
The quintessential expression of London Dry, which thanks to the 10 classic botanicals left to macerate for a whole night is smooth and full of character.
Sipsmith Sloe Gin
Obtained thanks to the maceration of wild blackthorn berries in London Dry for 3 or 4 months. The result is an artisanal and delicate Gin, with hints of blackcurrant and a soft cherry aroma.
Sipsmith VJOP
Very Juniper Over Proof, characterized by a particularly strong juniper of which it captures the entire aromatic spectrum.
Today, Sipsmith represents one of the greatest excellences of London Dry in England and in the world, and in Italy it is distributed by OnestiGroup, leader in the marketing of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the area, whose mission since 1986 is to select the best spirits coming from all over the world to satisfy the needs of increasingly knowledgeable consumers with refined palates.[:]
