Turin welcomes the first edition of the Vermouth Show

In Turin, the first will be held on 24 and 25 February Vermouth Salon, an event dedicated to flavored wine born in the Savoy capital in 1786.

The event, sponsored from the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin And created by the mixology project MT Magazine in collaboration with the non-profit social promotion association Eat Bin and the event organization agency To Be, will include a full schedule of events within the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento, in Piazza Carlo Alberto. Here it will be possible to discover, both pure and blended, the references of 21 small, medium and large producers of vermouth. There will also be space for meetings with industry experts, to talk about topics such as the birth of the aperitif ritual, the many variations of this flavored wine, its use in mixing, pairing with food and the stories of the protagonists who they still produce it today. The public will have the opportunity to participate in interactive, mixing and tasting workshops, where they will be able to experience the thousand nuances of this product first-hand.

We couldn't talk about the first edition of Turin Vermouth Exhibition, without mentioning those who, first of all, believed in this new stage of Turin mixing. They are the most important companies on a production level, those who drive, in Italy and abroad, the consumption of this product, chosen by the best bartenders in the world and by millions of enthusiasts of the topic: Antica Formula, Carpano, Mancino Vermouth, Martini & Rossi, Punt e Mes and Vermouth Gran Torino 1861.

The vermouth it is, however, also the story of a territory. Our. And who, better than local producers, can it communicate its truest essence? Precisely for this reason, alongside the big names that everyone knows, local ambassadors could not be missing: those entities that carry out work based on research, dedication and mastery on a daily basis. It's about Alpestre, Bordiga, Bosca, Cucielo, Doragrossa, Franco Cavallero and Vermouth Il Reale.

To anticipate and accompany the two days, from 19 to 25 February there will be the Outside the Vermouth Salon, which will take place in the best restaurants and cocktail bars in the city, respectively protagonists with menus designed specifically to be combined with the references of a producer of Vermouth, and themed drink lists. The Fuori Salone it will also develop in two representative locations in Turin: the Carpano Museum, located inside Eataly Lingotto which tells the story of Vermouth and the Lavazza Museum.

In the headquarters designed by the architect Cino Zucchi, the vermouth will be tasteable after the visit to the Lavazza Museum, pure and mixed with coffee, while on February 20th, the center's event space - La Centrale - will host the Vermouth Contest Special Edition, an evening that will see the best bartenders in the city compete, preparing signature drinks in front of an exceptional jury, made up of industry experts and the public.
