The tour that toured Italy in search of the best MT Magazine bartender has come to an end. On Tuesday 21 March at EDIT, Piazza Teresa Noce 17/C, Turin, all the winners of the Mix Contest Italy Tour stages will meet and compete to win the final victory.
The challenge, open to the public, will be a real drink experience during which guests will be able to taste the competing cocktails and vote for their favorite like a real popular jury. The votes will be added to those expressed by a technical jury made up of industry experts and will decide the winner at the end of the evening.
Catania, Bologna, Rome, Turin, Venice, Naples, Milan. Seven stages, 70 competing cocktail bars, 13 super-finalists who will compete for the title of Best Bartender in Italy MT Magazine. At the end of the last stage only one will remain.
At the end of the tour it's time to take stock. In these cases we talk about attendance, give figures, suggest new appointments and lots of news. True, it was a success. There were many attendees, the quality of the competing competitors, of the mixed products and of the cocktail was very high and the technical juries were always full of industry experts and journalists.
What emerges most forcefully, however, is the hybrid nature of Mix Contest, which makes it unique and worthy of a small digression. Mix, mix, say it as you want but the meaning is the same: combining multiple ingredients and amalgamating them to create something that, before this meeting, did not exist. This, simply put, is the magic of mixology.
Mix Contest is at the same time a competition between bartenders and an event that involves the general public in what can fully be considered an art, one that marries the elements and transforms them into something new, in this case a cocktail.
There are all the canons of the classic battle: a technical jury, many professionals competing, high quality products to mix, a final ranking. And here comes the contamination, because the battle is there, and it is the driving force behind everything, but it is open to the public who can not only watch the bartenders at work and interact with them but even express, during the evening, their own preference through The vote.
Thus, each stage of Mix Contest Italy Tour crowned two winners thanks to the votes of a technical jury and a popular one, because mixing is art, it's true, but art is made to be enjoyed and not only by those who are experts in it, but also and above all by those who simply he loves her.
MT Magazine will be competing for the title of Best Bartender in Italy 13 cocktail bars represented by their reference bartenders.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Mix Contest Italy Tour is the only challenge in Italy that allows both the public and the jury made up of industry experts to vote, who will judge the participants' performances. The competition is based on a scoring system that takes into account not only the taste of the drinks, but also their presentation and the bartender's ability to communicate their style and personality through the cocktail.
At the end of the competition, the overall winner of the Mix Contest Italy Tour 2023, who will have the opportunity to make himself known nationally as one of the best Italian bartenders.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

It is possible to purchase the card which entitles you to 5 drinks at a reduced price. The online ticket costs €20 and entitles you to 5 drinks.
However, for those who do not purchase the ticket online, it is possible to pay directly on site at a cost of €25, but booking is still mandatory.
Accreditation alone does not guarantee entry.
In case of impossibility to participate in the event after purchase, the card can be transferred to third parties - upon notification to the e-mail address accrediti@tobevents.it - but is not refundable.
