The live awards ceremony was held on June 7th North America's 50 Best Bars, in the magical city of New York. The event, sponsored by Perrier, offered the unique opportunity to unite bartenders, bar owners, mixology enthusiasts, journalists and writers in the sector, and to return to celebrate live the success achieved by the 50 best cocktail bars in the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, voted by 220 mixology and hospitality industry experts.

To establish itself at the top of the ranking was theAttaboy, of New York, followed by Handshake Speakeasy And Licoreria Limantour, both from Mexico City. Civil Liberties of Toronto was declared the best bar in Canada, while the The Factory, positioned in twelfth place, obtained the recognition of the most interesting venue in the Caribbean. The Attaboy, the undisputed king of this year, founded by Samuel Ross And Michael McIlroy in 2012, since its opening it has been considered one of the best cocktail bars in the country, but only this year did it obtain the long-awaited recognition. Which cocktails helped make it worthy of first place? The "Penicillin“, with whiskey, ginger, honey syrup and fresh lemon juice, and the “Greenpoint” with whiskey, chartreuse and vermouth. Currently the cocktail bar is managed by the mixologist Haley Traub.

World's 50 Best Bars
Instead, for the award ceremony of the World's 50 Best Bars we will have to wait until October 4, and for the first time in its 13-year history, the famous ceremony will no longer be held in London but in the Catalan capital, Barcelona. The opening party will be held on October 3, followed by a gala evening where the best bars in the world will be announced. The ranking will be drawn up by an esteemed Academy of over 650 enthusiasts of mixology spread all over the world.
As for the other appointments, we know that August 31st will be assigned Mitcher's Art of Hospitality, the award given by members of The World's 50 best Bars Academy, each of whom is asked to nominate the bar where they have had the best experience in terms of hospitality.
On September 13th theAltos Bartender's Bartender, an award that the bartenders of the venues nominated in this edition assign to one of their colleagues, for the passion and commitment with which he carries out his work.
While the awards ceremony will be held on September 27th which will reveal the bars ranked between 51st and 100th place.
