April 5, 2022 marks the announcement of the results of the London Spirits Competition 2022 in which MacDuff International has won a total of three gold medals for its renowned brands; Islay Mist Original, Lauder's 15 years old and Grand Macnish Original. The awards – which are in their fifth year – took place at the end of March and all brands were judged on three key elements; packaging, quality and value.
LONDON SPIRITS COMPETITION
London Spirits Competition distinguishes itself from other whiskey and spirits competitions by evaluating not only technical expertise and distillation process, but also overall drinkability, taste, value and packaging design. Leading alcohol industry professionals with direct purchasing responsibility were chosen for the judging panel, using the above-mentioned criteria and then scored on a 100-point scale.
The CEO of MacDuff International, David Sloan, explained that “It's really fantastic to see how well received our brands have been at the London Spirits Competition 2022. Taste, value and packaging design are all key pillars for repeat-buying consumers and to see our products judged in this way by industry professionals is very rewarding”.
