The Roma Whiskey Festival returns to the capital on 25 and 26 February for its XI edition

The Rome Whiskey Festival he returns to the capital for his XI edition Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February 2023 at the Salone delle Fountains.

What's new at Roma Whiskey Festival 2023

The event open to the public and dedicated to whiskey lovers, producers, importers, distributors, traders, whiskey makers and bartenders presents a great one this year novelty. Andrea Fofi, artistic director of the event, decided to also open the doors to other “brown spirits” such as cognac, armagnac, brandy and rum, and not to leave the "king of spirits" as the only protagonist. 

The Rome Whiskey Festival will extend up 2000 m2 of exhibition space. It will be possible meet companies and discover hundreds of products for tasting. Scheduled over 20 masterclasses for experts and beginners, with numerous courses for beginners 'ABC of Whisky' lasting 25 minutes. 

After the first post-pandemic edition – declares Andrea Fofi himself – our team, like our thirst for whisky, it has returned in a major way. We are happy and eager to welcome after 11 years the many visitors who come to the two-day celebration every year, in this event dedicated to responsible drinking”. 

Inside the event there is also space for the purchase of bottles. At the stand of the Roma Whiskey Festival will be on sale onlimited edition 2023 of the official bottling of the XI Edition. The Linkwood 15yo – Sherry Cask, already on pre-order on the event website and available for collection at the fair. 

Like every year at the festival it will be possible taste the winning products Whiskey Award & Praise delivered by a jury of experts after blind tasting to decide the best bottles competing in the categories Best World Whiskey, Best Single Cask And Best Scotch Whisky. 

Whiskey and mixology

Whiskey will be celebrated in all its forms. And therefore also in mixology. To enhance the whiskey in the mixed version will also think about it for this edition ORO Whiskey Bar. The Roman bar on Viale Giotto entirely dedicated to whiskey will move to the opportunity inside the Salone delle Fontane to enrich the two days of the festival. Don't miss the two events of "Whiskey in Town” after dinner, which will be held at the same ORO Whiskey Bar with Guest Nights dedicated to whisky. 

Great attention also to food, with an area entirely dedicated to chocolate, with Sweets & Design Foundry” and one at the historic pub Le Bon Bock, present at the RWF with a pub that he will propose English beers on tap and some other delicacies of typical Scottish cuisine.
