The fifth edition of Mix Contest Italy Tour 2023 – format designed and edited by Lalla Carello of MT Magazine – arrived for the first time in Puglia and Bari, where on Tuesday 25 July i ten best cocktail bars in the city and surrounding areas competed to win the title of Best Bartender in Italy.
All the competing barladies and bartenders presented two ad hoc drinks. The audience, large as at every stage of the Mix Contest Italy Tour, tasted and voted on the cocktails, together with three expert mixing judges.
As in previous evenings, a Palermo And Catania, even in Bari the location was unique: the Satori Mystical Sensations Land in the Trincea area of Giovinazzo (BA), a large venue by the sea with a tropical-spiritual atmosphere. In addition to being a bar in the evening, in fact, the place also lends itself to hosting wellness activities, such as yoga, tai chi and massages, due to the natural context and the atmosphere of peace that can be felt here.
The same well-being was felt by the bartenders, who during the evening expressed themselves at a good level of mixing, as evidenced by the appreciation of the judges and the public.
The jury of Mix Contest Italy Tour Bari
Judging, tasting and decreeing the best cocktail bars were:
- Adriano Costigliola: founder, together with Bruno Vanzan, from the Iovem Spirits Groups which becomes the spokesperson for innovation in the beverage sector with the first alcoholic nectar: Iovem. Released on the market in recent months, however, Black Sinner the completely coffee-based liqueur.
- Fabrizio De Palo: entrepreneur owner of La Chiazzod Vineria, AIS professional sommelier, winner of the AIS "La Ricerca dell'Eccellenza 2022" award in southern Italy, ONAS technical taster, AIBES barman, juror at the Lyon 2023 international competition in the Bordeaux Red Wine Area,
- Fabio Bacchi: publisher of BarTales magazine, co-founder of the Roma Bar Show, sales director of Mercanti di Spirits, important exponent of hospitality and the bar industry, bartender, trainer and manager in over 40 countries around the world
Mix Contest Italy Tour and the first challenge in Italy which also offers the participating public the opportunity to vote. At the end of the evening, the technical jury and the popular jury decreed the best cocktail bars of this stage.

Mix Contest Italy Tour continues
The next stops of the Mix Contest Italy Tour 2023 are Bologna, Rome, Parma, Turin, Trieste, Naples and Milan. The edition will conclude with the final, which will be held at the beginning of 2024.
