Monday 11 November 2024 from 19.30, Italian mixology is preparing to experience a unique and unprecedented evening with the Mix Contest Italy Tour ATP Special Edition, an exclusive event that will be held at the Lavazza Cloud Power Plant on the occasion of the week dedicated to Nitto ATP Finals 2024.
The undisputed protagonists of the evening will be The 17 Best Cocktail Bars in Turin, whose Bartenders will compete in an extraordinary competition between two, supported by exceptional guests from all over the country. Each Turin Bartender will have an excellent partner chosen by companies in the beverage sector that have embraced a project aimed at putting the spotlight back on the art of mixology on stage in Turin, a city to which Italian and non-Italian mixology owes a lot, thus giving life to a competition that will see 17 pairs of bartenders from all over Italy mix 34 signature cocktails.

There is no event of this magnitude in Italy: the Mix Contest is the only national format that stages a challenge of this level, bringing together the best talents of mixology in a single evening, combining technique, creativity and unique flavors. The public will be an active part of the event, participating and tasting the mixology proposals accompanied by food proposals from local businesses, finally voting for the cocktails together with a jury of experts who will evaluate technique, presentation and taste.
Thanks to the participation of leading companies in the sector, this event aims to relaunch the Turin and Italian mixology scene, celebrating the excellence and creativity of its protagonists.

A bit of history
It was 2017 when an event entirely dedicated to mixing appeared for the first time in Turin. It took the name of Mix Contest, because in the mind of its creator, Laura Carello, It was supposed to be a battle between bartenders to take place in front of a public judge and taster, who at the end of the evening would vote for their favorite cocktails to crown the winner of the alcoholic contest.
At the beginning, no one could have imagined the success that event would have: in a very short time, Mix Contest was on everyone's lips in Turin, who began talking about it with colleagues scattered around Italy. From there, the idea of creating a traveling Contest, which would look for the best bartenders from Piedmont to Sicily: today, Mix Contest is a consolidated event in the world of mixology, capable of discovering new talents and highlighting the main points of reference of contemporary Italian beverages. An important event for all those in the industry: bartenders, importers, beverage companies, professionals. But also - and this is the peculiarity that has made Mix Contest sobeloved – an opportunity for the public to discover the best of contemporary Italian mixology.
As always, in fact, the different stages of the tour will be open to the public, who will be able to taste the cocktails proposed by the challengers and also express a preference, which will be added to the votes of the technical jury, called from time to time to elect the winner of the stage.
